Happy Birthday, Isaiah!

Isaiah John Sebo
Born: March 27, 2000
Isaiah has been such a blessing to us these past 10 years! It has been amazing to watch him grow into the young man he is now. He's a real special guy and we appreciate him so very much!:)
Isaiah keeps busy during the week, helping Mama, playing with his younger siblings, doing school and keeping us girls cheery and laughing! He loves to make his sisters blush and is a very protective brother. He enjoys building and creating things, as well as learning about media and computers from his older brother. He loves the outdoors and is what you'd consider a real rugged guy! He's always ready for a camping trip, hike, swim or any other type of outdoor activity. He loves the old west cowboys and is often seen wearing his cowboy gear at home as well as in public.
Isaiah is also very competitive and really enjoys sports. He'll try just about any game you ask as long as he is allowed to! He spends many afternoons playing games such as, ultimate frisbee, volleyball, basketball and wrestling with his brothers. Besides sports, he also enjoys games of all sorts like but, especially Dutch Blitz.:)
Isaiah is a real blessing and treasure! We love him very much and thank God for him!:) Happy Birthday, Isaiah!:)
Favorite Verse:
"For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called, Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

A visit to Grampie and Grammie Johnsons!:)

Last Tuesday, Grampie and Grammie Johnson had us over for the day!:) We had such a special visit with them and it was a real treat to spend the day together! We love being at their house!): It's like a "home away from home!"

Our lunch table set and ready. We were told to come hungry...and we did!!( Grammie made the table so pretty and the plates she used were lovely and still child proof! They look like china but, were paper.)

Surprise!:) Isaiah's birthday was coming up so Grammie made a fresh cobbler and decorated it with race cars!:)
"Who told, her?"
Blowing out his candles:)
After lunch, the three little ones went down for a nap like they usually do. Natey doesn't take one but, always lays down till the younger ones are asleep. Being in a new room and all, the little ones had a harder time going to sleep but, after a little singing they were fast asleep and Natey headed outside to play.

After the dress-up, dinnertime rolled around. We enjoyed another delicious meal with Grampie and Grammie.:)
Sandwhiches and Soup:)
I wasn't able to get to many good dinner shots but, this one was too cute to pass up!:) Finishing Dinner. (That was especially enjoyable as Grampie shared a story about when he was in the marines as a young man and his adventures.)
After dinner, Mama regretfully told Grampie and Grammie we needed to get home and get to bed. we all exchanged hugs and thanked them both for their hospitality and the very fun day we had! They walked us out to our car and said their last goodbyes.
We are so grateful to the Lord for placing Grampie and Grammie Johnson in our lives! We love them very much and they are a special gift from the Lord!:)
Thank you, Grampie and Grammie for the wonderful visit!:) We love you!!:)

February Fun

Morning trips to walk the beach:
As I previously posted, our family has been going to the beach on multiple occasions to walk along the shoreline for exercise and fresh air. This has been a delightful way to start the morning and we have all enjoyed the beauty of our Lord's marvelous creation.

Mama only asks one thing of us, before we hurry to explore, play in the sand or in my case, photograph the beach: we must all walk/run to the end of the beach and back before separate persons set off to hunt for special items, sight animals or engage in other fun activities. The walk/run does us all good and we are soon busy with our own personal activities.

"Hi, Ashley!"

Joshua, braving the climb.

Civil War Re-enactment:

The Saturday before Valentines, Daddy's friend from work was scheduled to play at a Civil War Re-enactment Camp. Although they did not actually re-enact the war itself, we still enjoyed looking around and visiting the different tents. We especially enjoyed listening to Mark (Daddy's co-worker) and his bluegrass group play! They were very good and it was hard to keep my feet from tapping now and then!:)

Union Soldiers stop for a rest.

One thing that the boys all enjoyed was getting Confederate and Union solider hats. We got three from each side so that they could try their own re-enactments at home.

Valentines Sing:

Sunday was Valentines Day, and that being the case, our church had a sing instead of a banquet this year. The McIntire family provided us with a bluegrass group, which was greatly enjoyed! We sang several songs with "special music" in between from a string quartet, flute duet and piano solos. It was a very special time of singing and praising the Lord!
Cristin (violin), Sarah (mandolin), Johnathan (bass) and Amy (guitar).
Singing:)

Johnathan Stevens leading the singing.
String quartet: Cristin (cello), Emily (viola), Rachel and Janice (violin).

After the sing we enjoyed some refreshments.

Trampoline Fun:

Obviously, my new camera has been getting plenty of use!:) (I am really enjoying it!) These next set of pictures is just another glimpse into our everyday life, which the trampoline is part of.

Monthly Men's Breakfast:

Once a month our church usually has a Men's Breakfast, which is a real encouragement for our men. Ken Williams, or as we affectionately call him "Uncle Kenny" prepares the lesson as well as most of the breakfast. He does an excellent job! The breakfast usually starts at 7:00 AM.

Hot Dog Roast and Visit:

Our first hot dog roast was a success! We enjoyed eating dinner outside as a family and keeping warm by the fire. Uncle Paul stopped in for a visit that night which was another highlight!

After a long day at work, a hot dog roast is a special and relaxing treat.

Random Fun At Home:

This particular evening, Mama and I were folding laundry when the kids all rushed in and asked me to grab my camera and snap some photos of.....
....President Sebo!:)

Danny recently got a "George Bush" puppet and was delighted to find that the puppet and Timmy wore about the same size.
Just a few of the ways we've spent our days! I will try to be more consistent in my posts so they won't be quite so long!
...Nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God who gives us richly all things to enjoy.
