Fourth of July Parade...

It is around 7:00 a.m. (six o'clock Alaska time)
Here we are getting ready to head out to Corona.. We left at 8:00 am and the traffic was almost non-existent. This is the second year we have had the opportunity to be a part of the Fourth of July parade.
Some of the children dressed in 1930's outfits. The Lord really helped us find what we needed.
Here is Caytlin with our Pastor and his wife. He is the Treasurer of Corona and is now running for City Council. " When you go to the box, vote for Randy Fox!"
Sorry, I am new at posts while Ashley is away. So the pictures are out of order. Here they are resting after walking the one- mile parade route. It was very warm.
This is two excited boys, ready to help out with the parade
Timmy wanted to be a part as well. Maybe next year.
Evie and Isaiah ready to go...
This is another photo AFTER the parade. These guys are ready for lunch.
So we came home, did some quick arranging to accommodate our small pool, had lunch and took a dip. :)
Ok, here we are back at the parade. Pastor Fox is holding one of his grandsons....
It was neat to see some old time planes flying overhead.
Our part in the parade was to be spectators.
Nathanael and Joshua got to hold the banner.
Here Isaiah and Caytlin are handing out pretend hundred dollar bills with Randy Fox's photo in the center. They were very popular.
This is a car similar to the one used on The Andy Griffith Show, so the theme song was playing
from the car as they passed by. There is a mannequin passenger who is supposed to resemble Barney Fife.

Here we are doing that spectator thing again...

American Legion...
Mr. and  Mrs. Fox...
This was at the beginning of the parade.
Handing out those bills...
Joshua waved when he saw us, That was fun.

Well all I can say is it's better than nothing. So, please forgive my scrambled post and enjoy the pictures.  It was a fun morning. The city of Corona has a real small town, homey feel to it. It was really nice.

Happy Fourth of July!!! We love to celebrate our independence as a nation. However, no man is truly free until he is free from the penalty of his sins. This is the freedom Christ Jesus offers us.

So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” They answered him, “We are offspring of Abraham and have never been enslaved to anyone. How is it that you say, ‘You will become free’?”
Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin.The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed   John 8:31-36

Yay! It was really fun to be able to read this post! I really enjoyed seeing the pictures of the kiddos and their participation in the parade!

We are staying busy over here. Last week was Sr. High and this Monday we start Jr. High. Daniel will be stretching and I will be working in the dinning room. Keep us in your prayers as we are all very tired and still have three weeks left to go.;) It is worth it though and we just need to keep our focus on the Lord Jesus for the strength to keep going!:) Thanks for the post! Love and hugs to you all!;)
