Happy Anniversary Daddy and Mommy!

Friday Daddy and Mommy celebrated 22 years of marriage!
Michael and Linda Sebo

Married: September 5, 1992

This year we kids were able to prepare a special surprise for them in honor of their anniversary! We decorated and put together a small restaurant-style meal at home, complete with a menu, waiters, a kitchen staff and even security! It was challenging to surprise them but ,in the end very worth it and successful!
Thursday, they received an invitation in the mail from Michael John's Family Restaurant to the special event at 6pm the following evening. They were very excited and decided we could have the day off of school. This was a real blessing as we needed that time to cook and prepare for the surprise and were originally planning to do it after school. The Lord knew we needed more time!
Before being seated to their dinner, the couple was taken for some anniversary portraits! The invitation said to come in their finest apparel! It's not often we get to see them matching and dressed up so this was a time for pictures!
 A kiss..;)
A sweet moment....:)
The dining set-up complete with a full dinner menu...
The couple was escorted and seated by their waiter...
While the music played gently in the candle-lit dining room, the kitchen staff were battling to get a bottle of sparkling apple cider open.:P A mistake we hope not to repeat next time!
The first toast to start off the evening....
While Daddy and Mommy had a private dining area, the younger children ate their own dinner with Ryan out on the porch. They got to drink ginger ale instead.
We just got these new goblets and the kids really enjoyed being allowed to drink out of them for the special occasion. Here Evie was transferring her drink from her normal cup to her exciting new goblet over and over.
Nathanael was our photographer and he and Joshua also helped with the entertainment for the evening program, while Ryan filled the most important job title "Security/Personnel" aka Childcare! Without him we would never have been able to pull the event off! Timmy and Evie got to be charming staff kids. (...been at Higher Ground too long..;)
First on the program was a ventriloquism act by Natey....
A quick, blurry, selfie of our waiters (Daniel and Isaiah) and cooks/dishwash (Myself and Caytlin)! It was a very fun evening to be able to honor Daddy and Mommy in a small way for all they have done for us!
Isaiah served the couple, while Daniel waited on the kiddos table! They both did a great job!
 Daniel in action...
 Timmy enjoying his goblet too!
Another refill of sparkling cider to go with the final course of the meal before dessert...
Natey and Josh sang the song "Tale As Old As Time" which is special to Daddy and Mommy because it was "their movie" while dating. We made a slight change to the song though and the boys sang, "Linda and Michael", in place of "Beauty and the Beast." They really enjoyed it and Mommy cried.:)
My assistant cook and dishwasher and I pausing for a picture...
In between serving courses, Isaiah grabbed a snack...
Singing a duet....asked for on the spot by the couple!;)
A special message from Joe's friend....
While serving, our "door" to the kitchen started to fall on the faithful waiter! Push pins are a big help...sometimes.;)
The grand finale-all us kiddos singing Tale As Old As Time.....Mommy requested an encore.;)
All the staff for the evening, minus Ryan!
A family picture of everyone! We are very blessed to have eachother!!

Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.  And Adam said:“This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.”Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
